The 4x8 has less work outs but higher weights used. The following program is an 8x8 style workout and it follows an upper/lower split. I think 8x8 is a lil much i would do more of a 5x8.or 3x8 for smaller muscles like if you do biceps after back, etc. Something to do with the stress this type of training puts on the muscle.

Doing 8x8 back squats and leg presses in the same workout and then adding two more 8x8 exercises would probably be hell inside four walls.

In my own experience, the volume is more manageable by distributing it across training days instead of daily sessions. Don’t simply stop at ten reps if you can squeeze out a few more, safely. The frequency and volume is there but obviously five exercises per body part is too much.
